holidays for a single mum and 1 dd 17mths

I put this in the lone parents section but i've only had one reply so far so thought i'd try general travel.

I keep looking at holidays for my dd and I but usually come to the conclusion that it would be easier to stay at home and have days out.

However, I really would like a change of scene and think that there must be something suitable for us that we'd both enjoy.

Centreparcs has been suggested but I would quite like some sunshine.

My favourite place is Italy but i'd consider anywhere.

any suggestions please?
