Malmaison in Oxford

Am trying to plan super-duper birthday treat/suprise for DH.(and for myself, without children)
Anyone stayed in Malmaison, either in a normal room or a suite?
I can't work out how nice the bathroom is from the description of the room, whereas the suite sounds just a little too large for current requirements
Any advice would be gratefully received.

Stayed in Malmaison in Birmingham and have to say it was pretty average room wise but the spa was lovely

Have had dinner there, but not seen any of the rooms. The bits of the hotel we saw were fab - very stylish (if a bit dark) - all black lacquered surfaces, with red accents. Might be worth ringing them?
