Interested in people views on this site please? We have been to two other sites near Salo Garda so we know that we live the general area. Dd will be 8 and an only so company of other children important and I like the fact that there Eurocamp kids clubs at Bella Italia for her. Any good/bad experiences? We have no option but to go in Aug so would be there in peak time.

We went out of season (May) about ten years ago - so not that helpful - but it was a very, very large site. The kids club was closed when we were there so can't comment on that. At the time it was fairly quiet but I imagine in August it would be heaving. We loved it for the walks along shores (though lots of midgies etc..) and for nearby towns etc.. There were quiet a few independent campers and some with absolutely huge motor homes that made it seem like a lorry park at times. The pitches were quiet close together and the pool was large though I can't imagine it would accommodate all visitors in high season. The pizzas were gorgeous though :)

We went in late June four years ago. Lovely site, very clean- good pools. We were with Eurocamp, although didn't use the kids club so don't know about that. Make sure you get air con, Eurocamp told us it was unnecessary which was rubbish! Easy access to the town, good shops on site esp fruit and veg, goo restaurant. Would recommend but might be inclined to book an apartment through the campsite rather than go through Eurocamp- but mainly because I didn't enjoy the mobile home.

Thanks both. DH is concerned that it will just be too big and busy (particularly in Aug.) He may have a point. I know dd would enjoy the kids clubs though and the other ones we are looking at only have clubs run by the site and I suspect there may not be many other English children there. Hmm

It is enormous, and is the kind of site that people use as a holiday in its own right, IYSWIM? We tend to do quite a lot when we're away so it wasn't one we'd go back to, but as an example of a big site it was very clean and well run.
