We have just one day at EuroDisney in July. What should we absolutely make sure we do?

I think one day is my personal limit, actually. I will be there with DS1 who is 11 and DS2 who is 9. DS2 is currently 139 cm tall... I think that means if he grows 1cm he can go on any ride he likes. DS1 and I are both 160cm. We really like Legoland but they are growing out of it now.

If you had just one day there what would you make sure you did?

Do splash mountain, Indiana jones & some of the non-scary roller coasters (I remember some very rustic ones which were good, perhaps a bit soft for your children). Don't miss the night show at the Disney castle - it's open air & brilliant for all ages. Also the Disney parade at 4pm (you need to check time) is rather pretty & worth watching - it goes down the main promenade.

Best way to know the popular rides are - on the map check for which ones do 'fast passes'. These will be most crowded & also some of the best. Some are silly, but most are good. If you can get any fast passes from your hotel you can make the most if your day.

Splash mountain sounds good! And also the fast passes tip... Thanks very much

Buy DS2 some trainers with chunky heels!

PitchSlapped · 24/05/2014 07:00

People will start sitting down before the parade well in advance so if you want to see it properly youll have to do the same. Is there a splash mountain at DLP? I know theres space mountain. The rockin rollercoaster in the studio park is a good one, and there used to be a "make your own" rollercoaster in the studio park too that was fun

There isn't a splash mountain at Disneyland Paris.Toy story , pirates, big thunder mountain and space mountain are the ones to do in the main park. Lots in the studios park too ...crush coaster, tower of terror , rock and roller coaster. You will struggle to do it all it one day but have fun trying .

Frontier land & discovery land first, adventure land is ok if you like pirates, fantasyland is a bit sissy!

Fridayschild · 24/05/2014 07:47

Lol at the heels!

couple of euros in the heels of trainers for the rides you're not quite tall enough for Wink

If your children are interested in meeting the characters, I would recommend a character lunch (book in advance before you go).

We had a height issue with ours in Florida years back. We ended up putting dd in ds's chunky trainers, which meant he had to wear her flowery sandals! Grin We also put her hair in a topknot for added cms.
This was for the Jurassic Park ride - but with hindsight, it was a bit precarious, as the too-short-really dd ended up with her nose on the crash bar!
