Why are our passports in Durham?

We live in the South West and they normally go to Newport.

Just sent them in the normal envelopes from the PO,why were they Durham ones?Didn't realise at the time. It's going to be miles to travel if we have to go up there to chase them.

Don't have the answers but I am in the same situation. We also live in the SW and did Check and Send, ours too have ended up in Durham.

DD is supposed to be travelling with her sister on Wednesday to visit GP's abroad. I am now waiting for a supposed 3rd call back regarding Upgrade but know it is too late for us. It is a 13 hour round trip. Sad

Mrs it's ludicrous up isn't it.If we have to do upgrades x 4 and a 13 hour trip the cost of these passports could have covered us staying in a fecking 4* hotel instead of a tent!Angry

We live in London and my DD's passport is in Durham too, I have no idea why! We aren't travelling for 2 months so I am not worried too much at the moment but I will be happy when I have it back.

Apparently all postal applications now go to Liverpool, Durham or Peterborough.
