No barcode for children's passports

Just wondering if anyone has had any luck getting their children's passports sorted without the barcode! We are due to fly Friday and they still haven't turned up after 4 weeks and we have had no luck chasing them without barcodes. Have even asked MP for help as other posts on mn have suggested but they have had no luck either.

I sent my ds' off three weeks ago today but nothing yet. I didn't write down any references etc, filled form in online but don't think I can find anything now.
Hope yours comes on time, worrying isn't it?

Ring this number 08456015175 ignore all the messages about only if you have a letter blah blah blah and say the person you spoke to on the 0300 number gave you this because you didn't have a barcode and it's been over 3 weeks and they can get your application for your child's full name address and your name

Forgot to write down mine and my DS's barcode and this is what I do and they tell me there's a massive back log though so make sure to tell then when you're due to fly they're not anywhere near 10 June though

Mine came today, so 3 weeks and a day from sending off.
