Hand luggage - what to take?

Ok I'm flying (Easyjet) for work for the first time in a very long time. I've sussed out what size bag.

What can I take - make up? Perfume? Shampoo etc? I'm giving a presentation at a conference so need to take lots of beauty products (to make me feel confident) I really don't want anything taken off me at the gate.

Any help or advice would be appreciated. TIA

You can take a maximum of 10x100ml liquid in a clear sealable plastic bag.
If you have even a small amount in a 125ml tube , the lovely airport security people will very likely take it away from you.
(happened to me at Heathrow but probably they are like this everywhere )

All your liquids (mascara, foundation, shampoo, deodorant, toothpaste) should fit in one plastic bag (20x20cm) so don't take loads.
These are just general rules, but also my experience.
If you don't have a suitable sealable plastic bag with you, some airports make you buy it there for a quid or something like that but I got away with using something similar.

Thank you. That's helpful and gives me a bit of hope that I will be able to get some slap onto the flight. Smile

the small zippy freezer bags are about the correct size (20x20cm). Containers must be 100ml or less and must all fit in 1 bag. Supermarkets do travel size toiletries or buy some in Boots, etc once you go through security.

Thank you!

I have got some brand new unopened Clarins sunscreen. It is 125ml.

If I don't open it, and keep it sealed will that be ok. Or will they just take it off me. Would you advice putting some in a 100ml bottle.

If it is a container over 100mls then yes they will take it off you. You could decant some into a smaller container though

100ml bottles are surprisingly big, more than you need of anything for a week. In Rymans they sell bags of exactly the right size, of a thicker type of plastic. I have found them very useful. See if you can find anyone who travels regularly and can give you any of the tiny toothpastes. that will save space too. If you have a Muji store near you then I have found their refillable tubes very useful.

you can buy small toothpastes in the supermarket alongside all the other travel sized toiletries.
