Has anyone been to il re re near La Rochelle - how to get there from airport

I am going to la flotte on il de re near La Rochelle over half term. Has anyone been who could advise me how to get from La Rochelle airport to la flotte on il de re. I have seen that there are buses to the island from La Rochelle itself.

How eAsy is it to get to il de re by bus or how much would a taxi cost me?

You can get a taxi. They are quite expensive - I would guess about 40-50â?¬. I'm pretty sure there is a bus from the airport to the island. But they are not very regular. If it were me I would pre-book a taxi.
