Hi,

did anybody stayed here

I like the look but haven't been resort-holidaying the last 8 years and never with a child and never Caribbean before.

Or any other hotel worth looking at?

We go with a 7 3/4 next Easter if possible.

Hi many years ago we stayed at beaches grande sport- think it has since merged with the nearby sandals resort.
I know it's not the one you have mentioned, but just wanted to say going to a beaches hotel was a brilliant holiday.
the food was amazing, lots to do, spa was fab. we had our own villa with a private pool (as next door that shared it was empty!) We had a coffee machine in our room with a small sack of blue mountain coffee, fridge full of complimentary drinks, staff were so friendly, we felt really looked after.
we have been to the Carribean lots it is fantastic and we are looking at going next year- cruising though.

I've stayed there and the beach is gorgeous, there's plenty of restaurants so you don't get bored, the kids camp is open around 12 hours a day with a tons of different activities that would appeal to a 7 year old and the resort is super inclusive so it's actually very difficult to find anything to spend your money on once you're there!
I actually prefer Beaches Turks and Caicos and wouldn't go back to Beaches Negril after trying Turks, especially as I believe the pricing is now quite similar. Beaches T&C offers many more pools and restaurants, the waterpark is much bigger, the beach is equally gorgeous and the hotel is only a 10 minute transfer from the airport.

Thank you. I am afraid we are after a bigger island, DH hates being coped up at the beach so we look for something we can do things as well like sightseeing and excursions.

I remember 5 days in Thailand in a resort on Koh Samui, a fairly small island and DH got really itchy feet.

Still lots of things to think about.

Noramum, we have not stayed at Beaches Negril, but have stayed at Couples Swept Away Negril which was a few hundred metres along the coast. Adults only though so no good to you. However, and I am prepared to be contradicted on this, if you want to get away from the hotel with your kids and explore the island, I don't think Jamaica is an ideal choice. I would have a look at Barbados, loads of really interesting places to visit and very safe and friendly.
