Preferably free. Tate Modern... And what else? s there a playground by the Eye or did I imagine that (it's been ages since I've been into town!)

And is the Tate Modern far from London Bridge? Should be walkable for kids along river, methinks...?

tia, Dinny

There is a small playground by the eye and the Tate modern is definitely walkable along the river. You could walk across the Milennium bridge to St Paul's (always good if they have a Mary Poppins fetish).

Excellent - then we won't be the only ones to have been seen warbling the little old bird lady's song on the steps?

ooh, then I think we are going to take them up to Piccadilly to Rainforest Cafe. Haven't been there since was v drunk at Xmas work bash before I had kids, remember thinking "Wonder if I'll ever bring my children here..."! Sure it'll be a rip-off but think they'll love the talking jungle etc.
