Haven't booked anywhere for the summer yet - we are a family of 4 - me, DH, DD (7) and DS (10). Things are tighter than usual this year, and we will have a budget of £2.5K. I would like to go to somewhere like: Portugal, Greek island, Gozo, Croatia (although we were there last year), Italy, Corsica, Spain - basically hot Europe. We like sandy beaches, pools, places to explore, people-watching. Not keen on organised entertainment particularly, but OK as long as it's not tacksville 
We've done Keycamp before and enjoyed that, but I've got this idea that we'll be able to snap up a last-minute bargain to a 4* hotel for a couple of weeks 
. Does anyone have any recommendations? Or does this just sound hopeless? TIA
