Good areas to stay in - Rome

For a friends holiday (does not need to be children friendly)

We are looking on AirB&B but don't know which areas would be best? Ideally we'd like to be central enough to walk to most attractions and have some nice bars/cafés inthe area too.

Any suggestions? Smile

I should be on commission for this place - but I'm not honest. We (4 ladies) stayed here, it was fab:

www.flipkey.com/rome-condo-rentals/p275412/utm_source=flipkey&utm_medium=email&utm_term=propertyname&utm_campaign=rbo_inquiry_confirm.

It says 3 bedrooms but actually it is 2 bed with a cubby bed on top of the second bedroom and a sofa bed in the living room, so sleeps 4.

Loads of room, well equipped kitchen including cling film and foil, free wifi and not expensive. Lovely location, minutes away from the Piazza Nevona (sp?) with lots of inexpensive restaurants within a couple of minutes walk. Reasonably quiet as not on the main road. We walked to all the attractions.

We stopped here - right by the metro, and within walking distance of everything. The Roman ruins are at the end of the road!
