I was wondering if someone could give me some advice. I applied for my baby son's passport 5 weeks ago - we leave for holiday on Tuesday, 20th May (evening). On Monday 20th I contacted the 0300 number to see what was happening. I was then offered a 48 hr call back (in order to get fast-track progressed). No call received. They escalated and another 24 hours on no call back received. Spoke to a supervisor etc etc absolutely useless! Fortunately I came across some great advice on here and contacted my MP this morning and also phoned Durham direct. My sons first passport is now being checked and we were told that we would be contacted either today/tomorrow (sat) or Monday, at which point we would pay for the premium service and it would then take 4 hours to print.
They have added notes to my case to say that we are willing to travel to Durham if necessary to collect. Would anyone recommend us turning up first thing Monday? I am concerned that we get a call late Monday or even worse not at all!
