Week break, winter sun - ideas??

Hi. I'm after any ideas for a winter break somewhere warm/hot and sunny - ideally not too long a flight and must be on a beach or very close to. DS will be 3.5 by then and DD will be 2, ao kid friendly a must. All inclusive would be lovelly but cost wise I think self catering or half board may be more in our budget!!

Having never been on a holiday abroad with children before I'm after any ideas, recommendations possible.

Also, any ideas on what we may realistically be looking at price wise for one week as all the brochure prices seem very high! - thank you...

The Canary Islands are the only places where you're likely to get a warm and sunny winter. It could be hot at that time or it might be simply warmish tee shirt weather. Otherwise you're looking at long haul holidays which will obviously cost more.
No recommendations off the top of my head, but if you go to tripadvisor.com, type in resort you want and it should come up with reviewers favourite hotels and reviews for them.

hi
lanzarote is great - sunny in winter, 3 and half hrs flight from london and very child friendly. ours are 2 yrs and 3 yrs old, and they love it.

we have a small place there but it is let up until the end of jan but I know others with villas there if you want contacts. Or you could try owners direct. com.

Flights cost us £400 ish for all 4 of us and 2 bed villas let out at £350 pw.
Hope this helps.
