Alton towers hotel

Has anyone been to the Alton Towers hotel. we have booked a night in one of their explorer rooms for may. We have been to alton towers but only for the day. our boys are 9 and 11. Any tips

I haven't been but a friend of mine went a while ago & said that they do special offers for guests in the park such as a early queue privilege so you can get on before the other 100's in the park and als something to do with the charater lunch times...but things may have changed...ask at customer services if no-one else has any experience.

Sorry to hijack AT thread helenmh, but just been on lastminute.com thread who are doing some Chessington World of Adventure tickets for £10 each (during easter hols I think) as opposed to £20ish.
