Ready made formula/orlando airport

Will I be made to open every ready made carton of formula that I take thru the airport?

I'm wondering how I'm going to keep the formula fresh if I need to open them, flying out to orlando is fine as I'll buy the cartons after security but I can't do that leaving orlando as I very much doubt they sell Cow & Gate formula in the USA.

What capacity are they?

How long is your flight?

PotteringAlong · 07/05/2014 22:32

Why does it have to be cow and gate? Formula is called formula because it's all made to the same, well, formula.

Just buy whatever they have.

It's a 9 hour flight

Haha really so it won't mess with my DD's insides if I change make? the last thing I need is runny nappies on the flight.

No they will choose a random one for you to taste and cow and gate is available in america

FastWindow · 07/05/2014 22:43

What Bunnymen said. Random sample. Always been my experience when I've taken home made bottles, you have to drink some of one chosen by them. Gross... I hate milk!! Tip.. Take some water as well in a bottle and use your taster of that to wash your mouth out.

Interesting side point... I'm off to France for a month and they don't seem to sell SMA. I know it won't upset my dds insides if she has aptamil or whatever... But I assume they taste different and she will notice?

All your thoughts please? At the moment, I'm actually planning to waste 1.8 kg of my 15 kg allowance on tins of SMA.

WeeClype · 07/05/2014 22:49

Well I was planning on taking loads of formula in my case too as I thought switching would cause stomach upsets but clearly not so I'll buy once I'm over.

Thanks for the answers about the airport as I was worrying about that lol but now I know I can buy whatever after security too I have 4 DC's, I should know about this stuff

Take powder and boiled water instead. They can only make you taste the water but I have done this several times and never had to taste it-may be lucky though.

WeeClype · 07/05/2014 22:50

Fast why don't you buy a ready made carton to see if she notices? if she doesn't then I would buy what they have in France.

SMA is Nestle so they probably do have it in France, just under a different name.

FastWindow · 07/05/2014 23:33

Good plan wee... I actually didn't think of that.

Cookie, thank you. I shall ask Mr Google. Rather than my dad.
