Speeding Fines in France

Hi,

I got flashed by the speed cameras in France last summer, I never heard anything about it though. I am going on holiday to France again this summer, with the same car. Are these pictures likely to catch up with me while there?

Thanks

Nope, you are fine.

You didn't hear anything previously because the UK have opted out of an EU directive to share information in these cases, so the French can't trace the reg number. It won't come back to bite you when you go over there either.

You can be stopped and fined on the spot for speeding though!

Ok thanks

I feared that if we are stopped by the police for anything, last years unpaid speeding tickets will crop up.
