Easyjet flight tomorrow - help!

I thought I was reasonably intelligent but I can't work out the hold baggage allowance. I thought you got none included and had to pay for any hold bags so have been trying to book one on my iPhone but it wasn't working.

Now am wondering if you do get 20kg included per passenger?

Can anyone help me please before I pay a fortune then find out I didn't need to!

Thanks.

My son is flying with easy jet tomorrow, he gets 20kg. It's a school trip so I don't know if that changes things.

I thought the hold luggage has to be paid for, separately.

You need to pay extra for any bags going in the hold. You can pay at the airport but it costs a bit more than paying for it in advance.

Cabin baggage has no weight limit, but the bag has a size restriction. This is free. Any bags to be out in the hold must be paid for separately and are not automatically included. The standard size for this is 20kg and price varies depending on where you are flying to. You need to add this on in advance as paying for it at the airport will cost a fortune.

It says on their website that you can add bags online or via a call centre.

Its not a fortune to add it at the airport. The cost is £10-£20 in advance or £30 at the airport.

Hold baggage is not included at all with Easyjet. You can book it the night before at a reduced price - if you wait until you get to the airport it's much more expensive. Hold baggage is calculated per unit (per bag) and per kilo.

If you just have cabin baggage there is no weight limit, but you're supposed to be able to stick it in the overhead locker by yourself. There are two different size restrictions - the slightly smaller one guarantees your luggage will go in the cabin, the slightly bigger one might mean you have to have luggage put in the hold if there's not enough space (but you don't pay for it). Can't remember the dimensions exactly, look on the website.

thank you everybody! In that case I will add a bag and try and fit everything in that! Just wanted to check before I handed over the cash.

You can take a small case on the plane as hand luggage, check the dimensions on their website. If you want to take a bigger case, up to 20kg, you will have to add it but it will be expensive as you have left it until the last moment!
