Having been to both I would say depends on age of children. Many more 'activities' in jersey like parks, pools, museums, soft play, cinema, bowling etc in addition to the beaches. Guernsey fine when kids are older and dont mind making the most of natural resources. Also access to herm from guernsey. What in particular are you looking for?

Thanks WWW! 2 DS 13 and 9. Thinking a short break, would like to see more of the history/culture?

Guernsey to my mind has prettier more historic interesting things to do. Have never been there with small children though.

I would still plump for jersey - absolutely masses to do in a short break, you couldn't end up with nothing interesting to do in any weather. There are some great beaches where you can do a bit of climbing/exploring around headlands, hire bikes, walk the coastal paths, water sports, lots of heritage sites including two castles and german underground hospital with living history stuff on in summer. Jersey tourism has a good what's on website. We've been a few times and always find something new to try.

agree with www. these a lot to do in Jersey with dcs.
We stayed at the very family friendly Merton hotel. It has a large pool complex and a surf simulater. also the kids club was fab- there's a teen one too. the food was really good and they did an early kids tea which meant you could take them to the kids club and then go and eat later yourself, while dcs being entertained.

Thanks for the recommendation Fox - I'll check that hotel out.
