Orlando end of February weather? too cold?

Dithering about a fortnight in Orlando. last week of February 2015 and first week March.

I want some winter sunshine in a villa with a pool. Google temperature averages seem to suggest low 20's in Feb which would be lovely. I'm not expecting roasting hot but I'm expecting to be able to wear shorts and t-shirt. However my mum just got back from Orlando in March and said it was cold.

Please tell me she's lying :) I was literally about to press "book" after all research complete when she said this

We have been twice in Feb. One year it was warm enough to wear tee shirts and shorts, and to swim outdoors (70-75 degrees I'd say). Another year it was sunny but cold - coats weather, definitely. Risky if sun is the main purpose of your holiday, I would say.

I have a feeling the time period you are thinking of is also Spring Break in the US. Theme parks will be mobbed - dont know if that is also a consideration?

We have also been twice, once right at the end of Feb and then early March. The weather on both occasions was beautiful. The temperature at night did drop a lot so take coats/cardigans. It's one of the best times of year to go I think.

I think spring break is 2nd week of March, the "crowd calander" on google shows my fortnight as being low crowds.

I think we're going to book it. Whatever the temperature it'll be hotter than february in the UK anyway!!

You should be ok for most of the time. Probably chilly in the morning and evening, but it'll generally be Ts and shorts for much of the day.
