We are taking our children to London for the May school holidays, but am finding it difficult to find an affordable hotel?

Can anyone recommend one please.

There's me, DH, DD18, DD14, DS12 & DS7 - so 6 in total.

Many thanks x

If you're happy to go no frills, the EasyHotel chain are clean, safe and cheap as chips. Between us DH and I have stayed in the Old Street, Paddington and Earls Court ones.

If you want something not quite so basic, the Holiday Inn by Great Portland Street tube is reasonable.

Thank you Meg I'll have a look now.

Will that coincide with university holidays? I assume so. I don't remember it's exact name, but the LSE has student halls near Tate Modern where you can stay for very reasonable rates. You could try Googling for those.

Thanks Lush I think it will, I'll take a look.

University exams are May and London students will be there. You could look at any budget chain of hotel or be prepared to stay a bit further out and commute.

The Premiere Inn at Borough Market has a family room for under £500 for three nights in the holidays. I would be amazed if you could get cheaper than this and reviews on Bookings.com really rate it!
