Flying to Nice - recommendations for place to stay

No car.... Don't want to stay in nice, but would like place with sandy beach easy to reach - any ideas?

Villefranche Sur Mer, it is close to Nice and has a lovely beach.

Where did you stay?

We stayed at the Hotel Suisse in Nice, which was overlooking the sea and gorgeous.

We visited Villefranche for the sandy beach, it is a beautiful little place.

Cannes and Antibes also have nice sandy beaches which are easy to reach from the town centre. Villefranche is also a lovely place though.

Antibes, Antibes, Antibes!
Free beach, opposite boulangerie
Lots of local hotels, fantastic to walk around.
Get a taxi transfer from Nice, book in advance.
What time of year?
Very hot in August

Cannes is very busy and the free beach is v small.
You can get the train or 200 bus to Cannes from Antibes.
I love Antibes!
