problems with passport URGENT

Hi all,

I've read all posts on this page and none of the direct telephone numbers to Durham passport office seem to work. Does anyone know the correct phone number, please??? I'm really desperate. The clerks from 0300 keep promising to ring me back but no one rings me at all! Just empty promises!
They received my application on 5th March (1st passport for my baby) and no one gets back to me about the status of my application. No phone call, no e-mail, no letter-sheer ignorance!
I would be extremely grateful for any help/advice regarding this issue.

Hi the direct numbers I have for Durham are 0191 3707402, 0191 3708003, 0191 3707141 & 0191 3707289. The last one is the one I rang & it definitely works. I've recently just got my daughter's 1st passport back & it took 10weeks so I empathise. The best advice I can give you is to contact your local MP and the Home Office. It wasn't until I did this that I made any progress, from speaking to someone one day who said it would take at least another week it was being processed the very next day!! It is extremely frustrating trying to find out any info so I wish you the best of luck.

I will start ringing tomorrow morning and see what happens. I will also not hesitate to contact my MP if necessary. Thanks guys!!!
