Car seat travel bags - should I bother?

Title says it all really. Is it worth it? There are a few on Amazon but even the more expensive ones have some negative reviews, ripped after one journey etc. Any experience?

My dd has two of these I'll look up the exact ones and come back to you. She is delighted with them.

They are the Bubble Bum inflatable booster seats. The dc are now 5 and 7 and have been using them for about 18 months for holidays so about 8 weeks in total.

Thanks. My children are younger, 4 and 1.5yo, so not sure if booster seats are sufficient, but I'll have a look Smile

We have used the Trunki one for 5yo and love it - it's chunky, but just enough room for her stuff inside, and seems well made.

We used to tape an old cardboard box round our car seats with parcel tape and never had any problems (although it was a bit of a faff!)

Do you mean the bags the car seats go in? We borrowed one from SIL last year, which we managed to break. Our fault though as we jammed a booster seat in with a car seat and strained the zip. The bag had been used on 5/6 flights already and had a small hole but bag still useable. The one main advantage that we liked about the bag was it had rucksack type straps. Very handy travelling through the airport with a large trolley of suitcases to be able to put them on your back.

Yes those ones Clean, to protect the car seat in the hold.

The Trunki ones look good, I might look into that instead.
