Is tap water safe to drink in Spain?

Forgive me if it's a stupid question but I haven't been abroad in over a decade and last time I went to Spain, 30 years ago, the advice was not to drink tap water or have ice in drinks. Is that still the case?

I drink the water anywhere in western Europe unless it's desalinated sea water which you get in the Canaries and tastes disgusting.

It's quite safe but doesn't always taste great, so if you have a drink of water you might want to drink bottled.

When we were on Majorca the caretaker of our villa advised against it but because we got it from a well. It was safe for cooking and regularly tested though.

Not sure about hotels.

Absolutely fine IME. Though where we lived a lot of people disliked drinking chlorinated water because of the taste & therefore chose spring water as an alternative (I suppose not that different to the UK where plenty prefer bottled).

Yes, it's safe but it probably wont taste very nice as it has a lot of minerals in.

It's safe, but doesn't taste too good . Also, due to the high mineral content, it might give you a mild stomach upset, not because there's anything wrong with it, but because your system is not used to it .

Safe but tastes disgusting and bottled water is incredibly cheap

We just bought the big gallon (I think?) bottles and used those

Water tastes different wherever you are because it all has minerals in it. In the UK the water is completely different in London from, say, Yorkshire or Cornwall.
It's all perfectly safe though. I would try it and don't bother lugging bottled water from the supermarket unless you really dislike the taste.

It depends where. Where I live, in the North West, it is fine and tastes the same as at my parents in Kent. In the East, where we holiday, it tastes like soap but is perfectly safe to drink. It has improved a lot over the last 30 years though, only the vaguest of soapy tastes now!
