Which one would you recommend. We want it warm and we will be taking DS2 who is 14

I doubt there would be any guarantee of warm weather in either Portugal or Mallorca in October.

We've been to Portugal quite a few times and its been hot enough for us. The boys wee swimming outside everyday, we went in the sea and spent the days wearing t shirts.

I wa wondering how Mallorca compared as we fancied a change.

Have been to Portugal in October and it was warm enough for T shirt weather.
Have been to Mallorca in September and it has been quite rainy and dull and not as warm as Portugal at that time.
I think you would be safer weather wise with Portugal although I have a soft spot for Mallorca and you would get some great prices at that time of year.
