November 40th birthday adult getaway ideas-help!

Hello, I'm trying to plan my husbands 40th birthday celebration. It's in November and I'm trying to come up with something special /luxury for us and a few friends (child free).... I'm thinking maybe a luxury villa in the canaries (although I'm a bit worried everything will be closed!), a golf/spa break, a uk country cottage... Any ideas? Or suggestions on locations etc?

Barcelona? Lovely, vibrant city, loads to see and do. Nice beach too.

We went to the Algarve for my 40th in November last year. Weather was still good. Mid 20's so fine for sitting in though chilly at night. Would fit nicely with your golf/spa thoughts. Lots of resorts to chose from.

Great suggestions thanks. If we go away I was hoping for some beach weather... Does anyone know any upmarket resorts in the canaries that will be open in nov?
