Yes it's a lovely place!
It's about 5 minutes away from Shoreditch station.
I personally prefer mudchute city farm though, and you could combine that with a ride on the DLR and a trip to the docklands museum which is also lovely.

It is lovely, I hada teaching post in a school next to the farm and used to finf it quite bizzarre to hear animals bleating during my lesson.

muchute is more like a real farm, I like both.

Surrey Quays has a nice city farm as well, I used to live next door do it when dd was a baby.
