A friend told me there was a new pottery painting cafe in leicester, near Knighton I think. We fancy going today as it is raining (again) but my friend is on holiday and I don't know exactly where it is. I've looked on the net but can't see anything can anyone help?

I think I may have a drive around the general area on my way back from shopping and see if it's obvious.

Found this googling. They don't seem to have a website but there is a phone number. Never heard of it before. If you go, can you post feedback for us Leicester lot.

There is one in Nottingham. On Huntingdon St near the Victoria Centre.

bamboo found the place and went today. We had a great time but it's not a cheap day out. It costs £4 per person (for paints and firing-you only pay for those actually making something) and then you pay for each piece made. The pieces range from £3 (coaster), £5 tea plate, through to about £20 for a teapot. We spent about an hour there and it was fab, the girls loved it and we have to go back next week to collect the finished items.

Oooh that sounds great. I think maybe my dd (4) is a bit young at the moment to get the best out of that but it's one to pencil in for a later date. She had pots of fun come to her nursery and really enjoyed that but that was all hand printing and stuff. Glad you found it anyway. Thanks for the info.

Hi - About the pottery painting - you should check out Buzz Ceramics. They are a mobile pottery painting studio who come out to you - to schools, nurseries & even your own home. Based in Nottingham but they cover Leicester too. They will even supply you with all the equipment to do it yourself at home. Great if you want to get some Christams pressies done!www.buzzceramics.co.uk
