Hi, just arrived in singapore - not sure how many mnetters have logged in from the exec lounge of a hotel - feels very odd! Would love some tips on things to do here - we have a whole week!

zoo/botanical gardens are fab... not sure of exact name. and sentosa island.

Night safari at the zoo if your little ones can manage it. A number of the hotels do a champagne brunch on Sundays which is good.

Another one for zoo and sentosa Island, dd1 just loved cruising up and down the river on the bum boats - we were staying at Swissotel Merchant Court - right on river - very handy.

Lots of swimming in the hotel pool - toddler pool.

Staying near merchant court - out at at the cafes/restuarants and she loved that. We only had a few days stopover on our way to Aus.

Had a very hectic time saying goodbye to our life in the Uk so we tended to just relax.

Another vote for Sentosa island. If possible find out when the magic/singing fountain show is. I imagine that would be quite magical for your children to watch.

Night safari, night safari, night safari! Absolutely magical!

Hooray! The zoo is one of my favourite places on earth, and do get children's photos taken with the monkeys as they turn out to be the most precious photos.

Thanks everyone - so far we haven't got much further than the hotel pool - it is such luxury to have a safe, quiet toddler pool! The night safari sounds fabulous and we are hoping to go and stay on Sentosa for our last few days here.

We went out for a banana-leaf meal last night which is going to go down in family legend - my Stepmother just could not believe she was really expected to eat off a banana leaf - she usually insists on napkins and table-cloths!

Underwaterworld on Sentosa, followed by the pizzeria on Siloso beach (just over the road).
It's v hot at the moment so do drink lots of water!
