thinking of taking dc 3.5 and 20mths during easter hols, along with 2 grandparents, one of whom is not that mobile and needs plenty of sitting down opportunities.

dd just wants to hold baby chicks and lambs

any thoughts on facilities, how busy will it be during easter?
thank you all

Business no idea.

Old mac farm. My parents took DD1 she is 15 now when she was small. She whizzed round in no time and demanded to visit the gift shop Hmm Says more about her tbh.

Barleylands. Been with both DC a couple of times. Little train extra cost and short ride. Giant bouncy 'pillow' fun for kids. A lot of rabbit hutches. Not enough to spent a day.

Marsh Farm at South Woodham Ferrers was always a good day out. But not been since it was privatised.

tropical wings in south woodham is very good, worth a look

If it's not too far for you willows farm in herts is a full day out
They gave baby lambs galore but I'm not sure you can hold them for health and safety. Lambs and eves carry toxoplasmosis.

Out of the 2 I'd say old macdonalds farm is the best. They are both about the same price but Barleylands doesn't actually have that much there plus you pay extra for the train ride. At least all the rides are included at omf.

Both will be quite busy during Easter though. Hopefully you'll have good weather!

We always used to go to Marsh Farm in South Woodham Ferrer's, much better for little ones. I'm not sure how/if it has changed much since it got new managers.
Never Barleylands though, far too expensive and not enough to do.
Tropical Wings is good though.
