St. Ives/Penzance - 2 adults, 2 kids. Nice place to stay, middle price range?

We are looking to go Easter time. Any suggestions? A self-catering something or other would be good. Also, anyone have train vs. plane opinions?

Look at Lanhams, St Ives Holidays, they have LOADS of great places in St Ives. Cottages, apartments etc. We've used them about 4 times now.
