Holiday Ideas Please

In desperate need of inspiration for our summer holiday. We're a family of 4 - 2 ds (will be 5 and 7) and are looking for:

1. Somewhere fun for ds's (a few activities on offer). A good pool is a must!
2. Not too touristy but not deserted.
3. Ideally Europe but only due to cost reasons (don't mind flying, ferry, tunnel or driving)

So any ideas anyone? Anyone had an amazing holiday with kids of a similar age. These days holidays are so expensive we're really trying to get it right (or as right as possible)!

Campsites in France are perfect for this age. There's everything you need on site - bakery, cafe, restaurant, pool, play area - and depending where you stay, a short drive to the beach.

Plus you can drive so no concerns about airports/luggage allowances etc.

And you can always stay in a mobile home instead of a tent.

Anywhere in menorca except for son bou. Santo Tomas is perfect, have stayed there lots of times.
