Parking in St Albans,near Townend Avenue

DD has a swimming gala at St Albds girls school tomorrow afternoon. Parking is pants isn't it? Any recommendations please for where to park?
I'll probably be coming into St Albans from the M25 London Colney side.
I don't mind how far I have to walk. I don't want to get locked into a car park that might close early though

Park at the station and get a taxi or look at on street parking. theres a car park up near the arena which would be a walk down or you could try a road off sandpit lane. go on the council website it will show you where residents parking is in place and from that you can work out where non residents is iyswim.
