Didsbury park hotel is lovely. Depends what you're looking for - Didsbury itself is smallish, was quite trendy but less so in last few years as has quite a few chains now - cafe rouge etc but still a nice leafy suburb of Manhcester. Teh hotel is fab.

Didsbury is pretty much a satellite village from Manchester. While a nice part of town, is not exactly a quaint village in the countryside...

Have lots of restaurants and bars, so you can walk to lots of nice places. There is also a nice park to walk around.

Not sure where you are coming from, and what are you looking for though.

We are coming from Cardiff, looking for some peace and quiet, romantic hotel, just to chill and somewhere nice to eat and drink in the evenings. The hotel have told me that Didsbury has 'lots' of nice restarants.

So whats the hotel like katierocket, their website is down and not loads of pics on line

Yes it sounds right then (on basis of what youa re looking for)
it's quite stylish hotel, boutique would be the best description of it - some of the rooms have double baths I think.

I've stayed in the Didsbury on business, it's very trendy and modern. The room I was in was all white, fancy CD sound system and flat screen TV, and cool decor. The area itself is nice too, with a few trendy restaurants and bars
