cheap break nr Durham wanted

We would love to visit my niece who lives in Spennymore nr Durham during the Easter holidays. Can anyone recommend any type of accomodation for up to three nights probably, musy be cheap, sleep 5/6. Thoght about a farm or cottage but don`t mind, even a house swap!

drove thro Spennymore this morning, a fairly bleak place.. Perhaps stay in Durham and drive out. I think the University rent students digs thro the hols. Shouldnt be to expensive but will be well placed. All the villages round Durham are a 'little' grim, I presume their are no MNs from this area as no one has replied..

We have found somewhere! Its on a working farm nr Bishop Auckland, 4 star ETB, lots of lams, eggs to be collected and £120 for 3 nights, inc logs, bedding, towels, everything! Can`t wait!
