That's it really 2 dc 4 and 22 months. Is it worth going? Will there be anything for the 22 monther to do? (can he go on the rides?) and finally what is the eating/coffee like? (do they have a picnic area?)
Thanks very much

Your 4 yr old will LOVE it.

22 month old can go on the diggers while sitting on your/dp's lap so he/she can have ago too.

We went yonks ago when ds1 was about 4, so ds2 would have been 2 and they both had a FAB day.

There is a cafe but it wasn't up to much, I just fed ds3 in there so not sure what the food is like.

BUT...I'm in East sussuex now and it pouring with rain so I would guess it's wet there too or wil be before long, you WILL need wellies because when we went it was a miserable day (freezing cold too) and the boys were caked in mud, Dh was too.

I'd go again if it was a warm day, even if it was raining (the mud made them feel like real digger drivers) but I'd avoid it if it's cold.

Yes! Took ds to Devon one when he was just 2 and he LOVED it. A parent has to go on with the 22 monther but that's OK - dh was glad of the excuse.

We went in the pouring rain and it was fine. We were on the way back from holiday, called in just as heavens opened - our only chance to go so I thought we'd have a look round and see if there was much indoor stuff. There's some, but the good stuff is outdoors. However, they sell those rain coats that almost completely cover you so we got one for ds which has come in very handy. Dh and I had raincoats and hats. Good thing was rain meant it was fairly empty so we didn't have to queue for very long for any of the rides.

Cafe in Devon wasn't up to much, though, but a minor-ish gripe compared to ds's enjoyment.

There's been another thread on this - check the archives.
