how to get from London to Coventry - by car or train

need to be for 9.00 in coventry - week day. Never travelled there so no idea how long it would take by car in atraffic or is it better by train?

I'd get the train, traffic is far too unpredictable. Driving would take around 2 hours depending on what part of London you're coming from. Could be a lot longer if the traffic is bad.

euston to coventry is quick by train - but obviously it depends where you need to be in relation to coventry station. Also you need to book well in advance because otherwise you will think you are buying the train!!

It's about a 100mile drive from North London and I find you have to leave by 6 so you don't get caught in traffic once you get to the M6. I would go on the train if you do not have to much of a journey from the station at the other end.

Whereabouts in Coventry are you attempting to get to?

I'd go by car, leave at 6:30 and you should get through the city traffic in time. M40. Dead easy. Then go in on the A46 at J15 of the M40.
