Have never rented private holiday accommodation but have discovered this website and the rentals look good.

Was a good experience for you?

I have not used but my sister did in Italy and had a very good experience. She recommended it to all the family.

am seriously tempted; slight concern about possibility of owner cancelling and not having anything (it's provence, peak season).

I've used it a few times - all positive.

First one was a true home stay in San Francisco, so someone moved out of her flat so we could use it. Was ace, just off telegraph hill and made us feel like we were part of the city not rubbish tourists in Fishermans wharf!

The second two were more small businesses who used airbnb to advertise, so one annex let as a holiday cottage and a private room aka a B and B.

Planning to use again for a trip to Bordeaux in May.

I spoke to someone at a party recently whose 17year old son used it in Australia. He was really well looked after and his parents were full of praise
