How many suitcases?

How many suitcases do you take for a fortnights holiday for 4. DD1 is 7 and dd2 4.

So far we have one large suitcase and much to hubby's annoyance i've said we'll need another.

Usually 2 and possibly a soft bag too.

for me dh and dd we take one large one medium and 2 rucksacks

For me, DH and DD (4yo) for a 2 week holiday we take two suitcases, both quite big. We also have hand luggage - ruck sack for DH and me, my shoulder bag and DD has a pull along case thing for her toys and snacks We haven't mastered travelling light yet!

thank goodness for that, dh seems to think we should be able to get everything in one suitcase. i think we may take one large, one medium and a smallish one for dd1 to pull.

For just me and my dp for one week we take a large suitcase each so I would expect at least that for a family of 4 for 2 weeks!!

I would aim for one large suitcase but might end up with another medium sized one too....
