Any motorhome owners about?

We can hire one for a week in October. £700 for the week and it is a new 6 berth.

What do I need to be aware of? It says fully comp insurance but how much are pitches for the night? Thinking about Northumberland or the Lake District. Are they quite gutsy on fuel as we are coming from Perthshire. Do you actually use the bathrooms on these things or are facilities on sites good enough?

Any tips you can give are brilliant.

Pitches can be anywhere from £10 a night to £30 a night or more.

My old small camper an used to do 30mpg. Dunno what bigger motor homes are like but imagine not cheap.

Most campsites the facilities are good, check out the uk campsite forum for reviews of campsites. I tend to use my own shower in the caravan now as I know its clean.
