Sweden or Iceland for a holiday in June?

Will be two adults and a 3 year old. Thinking we'd like to do a few days in a city (we like museums and architecture) and the rest of the time in the countryside.

I'm thinking it would be nice to be near a lake or a beach.

Any ideas or tips?

Sweden better for those things. Outdoors is great in Iceland but Reykjavik not a great city of culture or architecture.
what about Estonia? Talin is said to be very special.

Ooh we have been thinking possibly Sweden, Norway or Denmark for next year. Will watch the replies.
DH went to Denmark on a family holiday as a boy, one Easter, he said it rained nonstop. We live in Lancashire so do need some sun

I'm a bit nervous about the weather, if we've paid a fortune and it pours every day I know I'll be disappointed. We're thinking end of June.
