So We are thinking of taking DS (4) and DD (7) to disney in May. What do I need to know? My parents live in Burgundy and it is is possible to do a day trip from them by train - arriving disney at 9am and leaving at 8pm. Would this work? OR is it better to stay over a night or two....possibly arriving Thursday night visit disney friday and leave saturday morning. Or Arrive Saturday morning, leave Sunday morning. Whats the best way to purchase tickets (what do the 1 day 2 park tickets give you access to?) and is there anything we must NOT MISS? and is there a chance to avoid/jump the queues??? We did this at legoland and it paid off. TIA!

A couple of days would be better, there is far too much to do in 1 day... And the kids will be wrecked.

If you can stay in one if the Disney hotels then you get magic hours, an extra 2 hours in the morning (8-10) before the parks open to the public.

If you can go during the week rather than weekend the queues will be much shorter too.

Would second trying to avoid weekends if possible - the locals go and it's really busy.

You can do a type of fast pass thing for some of the major rides whereby you go to ride and get a ticket and it gives you an allotted time to return (free).

Have done both parks in 1 day pre-kids but with kids we've so far always done 4 day stop overs in Disney hotel for convenience (3 kids under 4).

thanks.....is it best to buy tickets through disney? Or can you get them if you book a hotel through say expedia?

Look on the website ce multiavantages as they do special offer tickets which could be mailed to your parents. Would recommend hotel l'elysse as you get the extra magic ours but cheaper than the disney hotels. It's also near a shopping centre and a station if you wanted to go into Paris.
