Recommend a 10 bedroom house for 40th birthday weekend

it needs to be up to two hours drive from London and our budget is only £1200.....is this possible?? Please say yes!

We stayed in Northfields House in Fontwell for a family party. Not sure of price but it is a bit eccentric rather than plush so might be on budget..

The pool is fab and the sound system is brilliant. It's next door (across the extensive garden)to the very nice Old Thorns hotel where the uptight overbooked/guests could get a room.

It's more money (we got everyone to pay a bit) but the owner is charming and obviously loaded so you can get a bit off with a suave negotiator!

We stayed at this place recently. It was fab!

Should have said - we did self catering, and they let us take our on booze despite the fact that there is an honesty bar.

Northfields was great. We were there as part of a large group a few years ago. The layout was good as it's so spread out you didn't feel as if you were sleeping on top of each other and the kids enjoyed playing in the squash court.

We were there in the October and it was too cold for the outside pool but I would love to go back in the summer.
