I've had a look at the archives but would like some advice from anyone who's been .
Is it,in your opinion, worth going to Florence with 3 yr old on a weeks holiday?
Are there loads of mosquitos ?
Does the homemade icecream have egg in it? (ds allergic)
What towns/cities would you recommend?
Do the towns close down for siesta?
Anyone have any experience taking a child with nut/egg allergy?
TIA

I mean to florence for the day,We're staying in a villa about a 20 min train ride away and wonder if it's worth going there for the day ot if it would be too painful with a small child?

I went with a 4 year old. We just mooched about, ate ice-cream, pizza, sat in bars. Couldn't do anything seriously cultural but lovely city to amble around

thanks trefusis,

It's useful to know about the windy roads,dd gets carsick so will take some tablets.
I think we might give Florence a miss aswell .
I have a card with info about ds's allergy in italian ,but was wondering if it was as common there as it is here?
