We are going next weekend. Very excited! Just wondered if anyone had been recently with any advice on good or not good places to go? We are going with 8, 4 and 1 year old.

Any recommendations would be greatfully received

Not recently but about 15 years ago. Lovely area, typical French market town, nice beaches. We went with Keycamp.

at beg june we went to Jard sur Mer which isn't far from those two towns. there are some fantastic beaches all along that cost, Jard, Tranche-sur-Mer, Les Sables... lots of markets, are you staying on a campsite?

Hi, thanks. We are staying on a holiday complex called les mas de st hilaire. Its a tiny little holiday house, not much more square meterage than one of the keycamp tents. We were looking at those originally but this wasn't much more money but with dd2 still crawling thought it might be a bit easier.

St Jean du Mont is a lovely town - there is a zoo somewhere nearby which is nice for an afternoon out.
Also if you fancy a day out a bit futher La Rochelle is a lovely old town / city with town walls etc and has a very nice quayside. There is a wonderful acquarium there which you could spend all day looking round and has really been one of the best acquariums I have been too.

I would pack some cardigans as it can sometimes get a bit cool especially at night as it you get the breeze off the atlantic coast.

hope you have a lovely time
