travel agents advice needed urgent.....urgent

i booked a hoilday at a travel agents yesyerday, looks great in the pic she said she ad been, and dh said he liked the look of it ( hes hard to please) so i paid the full money going in 4 weeks!.

any way i just started to get a bad feeling of it, so went on hoilday truths and uncoved and trip adivicer, and all was bad very dirty pool dirty, and so on,

have i seven days or some thing to get out of this with out losing any money, please help, ive never been so stupid

Sorry, not sure of the cancellation terms, check in the brochure, should have it in there.

Tip for the future though. All travel agents have a guide for all resorts/hotels etc that they must let you look at if you ask. Ask to look in the ABC Travel Guide and they'll know what you're talking about.

which tour op is the holiday with? you may be able to change over if there is any other accom available with that tour op, but you would most likely have to pay an administration charge/cancellation charge and then pay for the cost of the new holiday.
How many bad reviews were on the websites? for every 10 people enjoying the holiday there may be one which hasnt and that one will write a negative review.

thanks all for replying had to go out,

its in lanzarote, puerto del carmen, when she showed me she said it was great, and i said its only 2 star plus alawys go for more, but she said in lanzarote thats standed, stuip me for listering, looked in books since and thats not soo.

i also said the most i like about a hoilday is that its clean, but like i said the reviws are mosely bad! i think for every 10 bad ones there was 2 goods ones, the shop is not open today other wise i would ring them.

They have lots of other accomm available on thier system for around the same date so you may be able to change over, but you would need to do it asap, have you got any documentation from the travel agents? if so there should be an administration number on there, call them and tell them that you would like to change accom, i think that there may be someone there today, you will need your booking reference number.

so took so long to get back, been on phone to travel care, they said i need to speck to some one from there and the shops not open until tomorrow. than you i really appreciate this , its a first choice but sunset book, do i ring them??

have rang it she says go to travel agent as booked with them, and i should be able to change for £15 each and £15 for addmin on top, and with them the hoilday is cheaper so i will lose out so do it with them.

If it is coop travelcare try 01617726555 and ask for reservations they might be able to help it is worth a shot

well hopefully you can get it changed, would you like me to have and look on the system to see what other properties are available so you can have a good look at the reviews on the web before you change it?

no been on phone most of day, they said i will lose 50% of the hoilday money, really carnt aford to do that, so asked about changing, angain cost about £100 to change, so ive told her we will go, but i want it noting that i comp,lained and when we get ther if it is as bad as they say i want to move staight away!, she said i could do that when i get there for a small fee.

what i really hate is how thay take your money, , with every thing else you buy you can get of of it in 7 to 14 days
