Afternoon in Sheffied ... suggestions for stuff to do please

DS (11) and I will have about 3 - 4 hours to kill in Sheffield during half-term week. Please could anyone suggest things for us to do? I've seen the Magna Science place but not sure if it's too young for him? He's into science/computer stuff generally but would be happy to do anything different. Thanks.

The Ski Slope? Magna is expensive for what it is a lot of the interactive displays seem to be broken when we have been.

The ski slope is no longer there. Icesheffield is very good if he likes ice skating. There is a bowling alley and cinema not far from it and a lego shop in meaowhell , all on the tram route if your not driving.
