Cyprus, early May, unheated pool

Will be travelling with a three year old and an eight month old - will it be to chilly for them to swim in an unheated pool? We could potentially go a bit later in the month if it would make a difference.

Hi, I live in Cy and we manage properties for a living. I must admit sometimes in may the pools are too cold for me some we don't even open until then. You might be talking water temp of about 20. A lot of our clients would be swimming that time of year though. Worth a risk but its an individual thing. There are people swimming in the sea already but I think they are mad. Might depend on the area too, we manage pools from Larnaca up to protaras but it might be a different story in paphos and limassol.later in the month would make a difference imo.

Thanks - 20 does sound a bit chilly! Maybe we should have a bit of a rethink...

It can be a bit of a shock with the difference in the air temp too as it could be in the 30s then. Sea temp can be warmer.last may I found the sea warmer than the pools. Lots of very child friendly beaches on this part of the island. Or if early may is the priority go for a hotel with an indoor pool instead of a villa.
