... only to Norfolk so I know it's not desperate if I forget anything, but I just can't get my head around what I need to pack.

Ds is 21m, so am beyond the baby phase but what am I likely to forget given my current mush brain?

All suggestions gratefully received!

Boring I know, but calpol and nurofen sachets, plus digital thermometer always go in the case

We forgot DS's shoes once - as he was going in the car, didn't need them, but then we didn't actually pack them.

  • gro-bag/sleeping bag if he uses one. Just been on hols leaving ours at home and had to buy one
- harness/reigns if he climbs out of highchairs and you plan on eating out - don't forget to put pushchair in car (been out for the day and forgotten that one!) - kids cutlery/bowls etc if you would rather not use hotel/self catering plates and pay for breakages! - monitor (both child and parent bits plus batteries in case there isn't plug) - non slip bath mat if your child is used to using one (dd once refused to have bath when we went away for weekend years ago because she felt so scared in the bath ... wouldn't bother ds though) - any special creams/lotions etc (exema creams necessary in our house ...) - lovely trashy book for you to read quietly with glass on wine in the quiet moments of your relaxing holiday - a few toys/books to keep ds company in restaurants or at home And do what I always promise to do and never do ... put the list on computer so you can add to it after your trip and print it out next time. (Just got back last week and didn't take my own advice again)
